Last week’s tornado hit Preston Hollow and Lake Highlands, then turned toward northeast toward Richardson, where it devastated homes, businesses and schools. More than 100 RISD students and their families walked, dazed, out of their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs and haven’t been able to return. They lost everything, including clothing, food, medication and school supplies.
RISD is working with Network of Community Ministries to provide a full range of services, including a mobile food pantry and trauma counseling. They also need volunteers. If you’d like to contribute, you may donate online here.
Network is at 741 S. Sherman in Richardson.
