It’s been a scorcher of a summer, but these Hamilton Park seniors just got a big surprise. An anonymous donor provided funding to purchase new AC units for several Hamilton Park residents.

On Monday, Sept. 9, Councilman Adam McGough, Mayor Thomas Jefferson and the Dallas Police Department handed out the AC units to grateful residents. “We were blessed with a unit. We are thankful!” wrote Vicki Stephenson on McGough’s Facebook post.

Hamilton Park has had a rich history in Lake Highlands and was recently declared a historic community with a marker installed by the Texas Historical Commission in 2017.
