Police: Man who shot boy had dog tattoo on his face

Dallas police are searching for a man with a dog tattooed on his face after a person matching that description shot a 16-year-old boy early Tuesday morning, CBS 11 reports.

The victim told police he was hanging around the Summer Hill apartments on Whitehurst Drive near Skillman about 2 a.m. when the suspect pulled out a gun and began firing at him. The boy was shot twice and managed to run away.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the boy to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He told police he does not know why the suspect shot him.

If you’ve seen the man with the distinctive tattoo, you may call DPD’s tip line at 214-671-4TIP or submit a tip online here.
