Neighborhood resident Matt Ford is a chef with Billy Can Can and Hatchways restaurants Downtown.

Neighborhood chef Matt Ford received a little love from the Dallas Morning News for his culinary contributions to Hatchways Cafe, a new workspace-food spot in Victory Park Downtown. Hatchways is described by owner Tristan Simon as the first co-working space in the country with an accompanying chef-driven restaurant.

Hatchways is new concept from Simon, who is trying to add food to the shared workspace environment. The Hatchways at Victory Park, expected to be the first in an eventual chain, combines breakfast/lunch chef-driven food with work spaces around the kitchen. Ford and chef Keith Cedotal created the menu.

Funky, individual office cubes, tables and desks in the Hatchways space allow patrons to take a break from work to order food for delivery via the Hatchways app, while people can also walk in off the street and order to-go or counter food.

Ford, who is executive chef for Billy Can Can down the street from Hatchways and has worked on Simon’s Rebees team, lives in the neighborhood with wife Adrienne and their three children Kale, Olive and Rye.
