May 17: Red and White Game

Don’t miss this community-wide event that’s not just for football fans. Lake Highlands High School will host its annual Red and White game at 6 p.m. Friday.

May 17: Movies at the Park

If the Red and White game isn’t calling your name, you can watch a free screening of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” at The Shops at Park Lane this Friday at 8080 Park Lane. RSVP for the event on Facebook or Eventbrite.

May 18: Blood Drive

Half Price Books’ flagship store, at 5803 E. Northwest Highway, is hosting a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. An American Red Cross blood drive mobile unit will be parked near the store’s front entrance and employees will be ready to assist you with donating.

May 18: Wine on the Roof

Support adorable animals while enjoying a Vegas-themed night on the roof at East Lake Pet Orphanage’s Wine on the Roof 2019 event. From 7 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, the orphanage will host a party at 10101 E. Northwest Highway that includes a Vegas-themed pet fashion show, auctions, adoptable pets and food and drink. May 19: Cornhole Tournament

Practice your cornhole game at Audelia Road Public Library, at 10045 Audelia Road, this Sunday in a teen or adult cornhole tournament. Participants will play in teams of two so grab a friend. You can reserve your spot in the tournament online here.
