Richardson ISD hosted its annual Top Ten luncheon this week, honoring the district’s top 40 students and providing them with an opportunity to thank their favorite teachers.

Each student and favorite teacher pair had a chance to recount memories and lessons learned.

Lake Highlands High’s Valedictorian Luke Moran, who will attend Texas A&M University, honored Tracey Bishkin, who Moran had for both AP Psychology and AP World History classes.

“Her class was always the one I looked forward to every day,” Moran said.

Lake Highlands High’s Salutatorian Anna Hurt, who will attend the University of Notre Dame, honored Dr. Heather Luman, who Hurt had for AP Calculus BC.

“When I first met Dr. Luman, I could not stop telling everyone how cool and smart I thought she was,” Hurt said. “I mean, she has her doctorate in math and that takes some real dedication.”
