Can you help Santa (and Lake Highlands families) this Christmas?

Santa with children at the 2017 Hope for the Holidays festival

Lake Highlands families in need will be treated to toys and gift cards, food and fresh produce, photos with Santa and other holiday cheer at this year’s Hope for the Holidays festival hosted by the Dallas Police Department, Lake Highlands Public Improvement District and LH North PID.

The free event will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Forest Audelia Village shopping center, 9759 Forest Lane.

Children will enjoy face painting, balloon twisting, train rides, a bounce house and live music with DJ Amigo. In & Out Burger will provide free lunches, and Dallasthenics will lead the crowd in a fun workout.

If you’d like to help, Vicky Taylor at the PID is seeking 25 more volunteers, and she needs more donations of toys and gift cards for children in our community who might go without this Christmas. Email lhpidpublicsafety@gmail.com to pitch in.
