Driver hits girl walking home from school in Lake Highlands area

Police are searching for the driver of a black sedan that struck a 9-year-old girl in the 9700 block of Greenville Avenue.

The 9-year-old was walking home after school Thursday, Nov. 29, when the vehicle jumped the curb and hit her, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The crash left the girl with two jawbone fractures, a broken femur and missing teeth. NBC5 reported that she was treated at Children’s Hospital and is in stable condition.
