Wildcat football players at the 2018 community pep rally

Any wise Wildcat knows Lake Highlands High has more spirit than other DFW schools, but WFAA-TV will make it official Friday morning. One of Channel 8’s sportscasters will be on site at the Friday morning pep rally to recognize LHHS as “Most Spirited School,” and they’ll live stream the event on their website for all to see.

All Wildcat pep rallies get a little crazy, but this one should really be special.

It’s Senior Recognition Day, and senior football moms will perform a dance complete with music and costumes. The wacky Bell Boys will be there to cheer on the team, as will the Wranglers, band, cheerleaders and Highlandettes.

WFAA will present a $2,000 check to Principal Delich (heck, just seeing what the dapper Delich will wear to the pep rally is worth the price of admission), and TV station reps be at the game against Molina Friday night to present the check again during pre-game festivities.

The pep rally begins at 9 a.m. and is open to the public. Admission is free, but attendees must present I.D. at the front office for security. Go Cats!
