Lake Highlands Shooting Center to offer sales, group events and classes

Lake Highlands Shooting Center is set to open Nov. 14

Construction is underway at the new Lake Highlands Shooting Center, set to open Nov. 14. The 12-lane gun range will be pistol and rifle ready, and the facility will offer classes, group events and parties. The center will also sell guns, ammo, safes, cases and accessories, and they’ll provide services such as cleanings and rentals.

For safety, the center uses a bullet trap system manufactured by Shooting Range Industries (SRI) designed to remove and dispose of lead and other debris without human contact or environmental damage. The SRI system traps fired bullets at the bottom and vents gases through a filter at the top of the trap. Target positions and distances are controlled by shooters.

LH Shooting Center is located at 10757 Mapleridge, across the street from B.B. Owen Park’s disc golf course.
