I just saw Corby Davidson, better known as The Cobra on sports radio’s The Ticket, pull out of his Lake Highlands driveway and head to Flag Pole Hill to broadcast his afternoon show live with Mike Rhyner. Along with the duo’s wacky banter and predictions for weekend football games and Ryder Cup golf, they’ll discuss Oktoberfest sponsored by Exchange Club of Lake Highlands.

Corby, he’s quick to admit, loves good beer and bratwurst, but why is Rhyner all-in for Oktoberfest?

Petty Theft, Rhyner’s Tom Petty tribute band, is featured entertainment for the festival, which opens at 10 a.m. tomorrow/Saturday and runs til Austin’s Bob Scneider shuts the party down about 10.

The real question is: Can Exchange Club members get Corby to wear the chicken hat?

You can catch The Hardline from 3-7 p.m. today on KTKS 1310 AM or 96.7 FM.
