This Friday, head to the Dallas Arboretum for Family Fun Fridays. This event is free with paid general admission and includes face painting, a petting zoo, music and more. On Sunday, learn cooking techniques and tips on how to prepare a stress-free menu that everyone will enjoy. The event begins at 1 p.m. Tickets are priced at $65 for non-members ($60 for members).

White Rock Farmers Market and Urban Chicken are teaming up for their second annual Chicken Day at the Market this Saturday. White Rock Farmers Market will be all about the chicken from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., including a free Chicken 101 class at 10 a.m. Urban Chicken will bring some backyard chickens and raffle off a new coop.

Head to the Granada Theater to see the rootsy American Revival perform this Saturday. Doors open at 11 p.m. and tickets cost $10. On July 11, enjoy the iconic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at the music venue. This event is free, and the show begins at 8:30 p.m.
