Grab your sneakers. It’s almost time to explore the Flag Pole Hill Trail

Soon neighbors can run — or leisurely stroll, of course — along the newly paved Flag Pole Hill Trail.

The path is slated for completion this August, says Robb Stewart, park board representative for District 10.

Once called Katy Trail Phase IV, Flag Pole Hill Trail runs east along Northwest Highway from Goforth Road to the Dallas Police Department substation and the new Dallas Park and Recreation department headquarters. It connects to the SoPac Trail, which leads to the Ridgewood Trail. The Flag Pole Hill Trail also intersects White Rock Creek and White Rock Lake trails.
