Tweet! Don’t miss the Wildcat Club’s NFL Officials Party

Walt Coleman III

If you want to find out more about a topic, you go to an expert. That’s why leaders of the Lake Highlands Wildcat Club have recruited real NFL referees to share their behind-the-scenes experiences in football for a new “NFL Officials Party” fundraiser at Oak Highlands Brewery (OHB). Walt Coleman III (Referee #65), Greg Meyer (Back Judge #78) and Walt Coleman IV (Side Judge #87) will discuss their career path to the NFL, share stories about players, coaches and memorable games, and answer football questions throughout the night.

Walt III officiated high school games in his home state of Arkansas before shifting to the NFL in 1989. Over his NFL career, he has worked two conference championship games (1998 and 2003) and was the alternate referee for Super Bowls XXXIV, XLII and LI. His son, Walt IV, joined the NFL in 2015. Meyer, a Ft. Worth resident, has officiated NFL post-season games, including Super Bowl XLIV in Miami.

The Wildcat Club NFL Officials Party will be held Friday, April 6th. Doors open at 6 p.m and the event begins at 7. Registration includes 3 OHB beer tokens and an individual Urban Crust gourmet pizza. Seating is limited and registration is online here. OHB is at 10484 Brockwood.
