There are many parties and concerts happening after the St. Patrick’s Day parade, but the official after party boasts Guinness, Irish whiskey, corned beef and a U2 cover band. There will be Irish dancers and bagpipers throughout the day. It doesn’t get more Irish than that.

I don’t have a St. Patrick’s Day pun for this … If you didn’t make it on this season of American Idol, you can still perfect your musical talents at a songwriting workshop hosted by Sally Barris, a singer-songwriter who writes for A-list country singers. If songwriting isn’t your forte, you can still catch Sally Barris performing at Uncle Calvin’s.

For those looking for a more wholesome way to spend St. Patrick’s Day, Lifestyle of Worship presents the stage production “It Takes A Backbone,” featuring evangelist Donna Gordon. The production will be held at Dallas Children’s Theater, but to purchase tickets online use this link.
