Nominations for the 2nd Annual Lake Highlands Chamber of Commerce “We Love LH” Awards have been revealed, and neighborhood residents have singled out more than 60 businesses, nonprofits and individuals worthy of recognition. Winners will be announced at the Chamber Awards Luncheon at the KayCee Club Feb. 14th.

Small Business of the Year nominees are: Accelerate Auto Group, Artistik Edge Hair Salon, Atomic Pie, Bottle Rocket Corp., Cedar and Vine, Crisp Salad Company at Park Lane, Dallas Media Center, Lake Highlands Creamery, Lake Highlands Flowers, Local Resident Realty, Max & Lou, Positively Fit Lake Highlands, Resident Taqueria, The Store, White Rock Soap Gallery and White Rock Walk and Wag – Tonyia Dotson owner.

Business of the Year nominees are: Artistik Edge Hair Salon, ASI Lake Highlands, Diversicare Health Care, Fine Homes & Estates C21, Nathan Grace, Knights of Columbus, Local Resident Realty, Mai Plumbing, Rooster Hardware, Sprouts, Tony’s Pizza and Top Golf.

Nonprofit of the Year nominees are: 100 Women of Lake Highlands, Clickit4life.net, Exchange Club of Lake Highlands, Feed Lake Highlands, Forerunner Mentoring, Lake Highlands Community Garden, Lake Highlands Women’s League, Mama Chicken’s Kitchen and Pamper Lake Highlands.

Restaurant of the Year nominees are: Atomic Pie, Cedar & Vine, Flaming Cheese, JJ’s Café, Lake Highlands Creamery, Nazca Kitchen, Resident Taqueria, Shady’s, Lake House and White Rock Coffee.

Legacy Award nominees are: Amy Timmerman, Artistik Edge, Caren Bright, Carol Toler, Father Josef, Jenny King, Kathy Stewart, Pete Grieder, Rebecca Crosby, Rick Wamre and The Advocate Publishing Company – Lake Highlands Advocate, Robin Norcross, Sean Brockette, Terri Hoover, Tom Goodale and Vicki Taylor.

Tickets for the luncheon are $25 for Chamber members, $30 for non-members and $250 for a table and may be purchased online here. Check-in begins at 11:30 and the lunch starts at noon.
