With soft muted colors and a monochromatic mural of the Dallas skyline, 82Fifty is the newest eatery to hit our neighborhood. Tucked into the DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas – Campbell Centre, you can expect a lot of the classics like waffles and egg dishes for breakfast, and burgers, tacos and salads for lunch and dinner.
Best of all, it’s on the 20th floor and offers sweeping views of the city.
The restaurant is part of a major overhaul of the hotel, which was built in 1980 and showing its age. An $8 million renovation from Park Lane designers Waldrop and Nichols Studio is bringing a modern touch to the property at 8250 N. Central Expressway. The hotel’s major public spaces, including the lobbies, ballroom and restrooms, are all being overhauled in addition to the restaurant.
Before 82Fifty, the hotel featured a hotel called the Brass Cactus, but this new offering is expected to be more upscale. It’s open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
