Diaper drive for Pamper Lake Highlands

Pamper Lake Highlands All Community Diaper Drive

Pamper Lake Highlands will host their annual All Community Diaper Drive in a fun, new location this fall – the new Jersey Mike’s Subs on Saturday, Nov. 11th. The sandwich shop won’t be open yet – opening day will be Dec. 6th – but the Jersey Mike’s folks have given founder Caren Bright lots of free sub coupons to distribute and say it’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Donating to Pamper LH is as simple as its mission – contribute packs of diapers (or the money to purchase them) and the non-profit will help a family struggling to get parents to work and children to daycare. It’s a story Bright understands well. She lifted herself out of domestic abuse and poverty, and she began the charity after seeing that lacking simple necessities like diapers often stymied her success. Her group now also offers courses in parenting, financial literacy and English.

The diaper drive will be held Nov. 11 from 11-3. Jersey Mike’s is located between Ideal Dental and Hollywood Feed in the Lake Highlands Town Center, Skillman at Walnut Hill.
