These two teams share the same turf and that creates a friendly feud when it comes to naming rights and, of course, bragging rights. The past six years the Wildcats have beaten the Rams and thus have kept the stadium’s name as Wildcat-Ram. The last time the stadium wasn’t named Wildcat-Ram was back in 2011 when the Wildcats took a heartbreaking 16-13 loss. Let’s just say the Cats didn’t take that loss lightly as they have dominated the rivalry ever since.

The Berkner Rams have a record of 1-2, their win coming against Garland which gives them an extra boost of confidence heading into this week’s game. The Wildcats are 2-1 and after a tough 10-7 loss to Wylie had a bye week to regroup and come prepared to protect its naming rights.

Come out Thursday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m at Wildcat-Ram Stadium and cheer on your team. Wildcat fans, don’t forget to stop by the pregame tailgate at 5:30 p.m in the parking lot directly in front of the high school. Meal vouchers are $10. Remember to wear black Wildcat fans as this week’s game is the blackout game.
