Foundry Commercial and Stockbridge Capital purchased the Kroger-anchored center, also home to local favorites Twin Bows, Go 4 It Sports Grill and Pho Hanabi and national chains Petco and McDonald’s. Currently 86 percent leased, the 116,099-square-foot project was built in the 1980s.

Brown says the buyer was attracted by revitalization and new construction in surrounding neighborhoods. David Weekley tore down aging apartments to build townhomes north of the center, and the L-streets are experiencing a renaissance further north.

The new owners have not announced if they’ll bring in new tenants or rename the center. (With the proposal to change Plano Road to Lake Highlands Drive, perhaps we can expect LH in the name?)
