Moss Haven’s Leo Wanjura, Scout Gomez, Harper Gomez, Brooke Ince with Rep. Jason Villalba

Four students from Moss Haven Elementary represented their 4H club Wednesday at a statewide gathering in Austin. At “4H Day at the State Capitol,” Brooke Ince, Harper Gomez, Scout Gomez and Leo Wanjura learned about the political processes in Texas and rubbed elbows with Lake Highlands’ own representative, Jason Villalba.

4H promotes citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills, and stands for head, heart, hands and health. The organization boasts more than 6.5 million members in the United States from ages 5 to 21.

MHE teacher Kim Aman sponsors the team, and Ashley Gomez is the parent coordinator.

Congratulations, kids!
