Inside the new Slim Chickens restaurant at Park Lane and Central, workers are touching up details and shining fixtures in preparation for the store’s mid-November opening. Slim Chickens was founded in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2003 and the Dallas store is one of 4 being opened in the Metroplex by franchisees Bob Gregg and Courtney Lindley.
Slim Chickens’ menu features chicken tenders and wings with a variety of dipping sauces, including mango habanero, sweet red chili and good ole honey mustard or ranch. They offer wraps and salads, and their sides include fried pickles, mac & cheese and fried mushrooms. Their desserts, served in mason jars, come in seasonal flavors like strawberry cheesecake and brownie with pudding and Heath bar.

The Dallas Slim Chickens will be located at 9100 N. Central Expressway, between the new Norma’s Café and the soon-to-open Jason’s Deli. The projected opening date is Nov. 16.
