Arboretum Tulips

The Dallas Arboretum received another architectural honor this year, being named by Architectural Digest as one of the world’s 15 most breathtaking botanical gardens. The arboretum is second on the list, which includes destinations on five continents. Also on the list is the Gardens of the Palace of Versailles in Versailles, France, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, in Cape Town, South Africa, and Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  The magazine, which celebrates international design, lists the arboretum in its just-released recommendations for international displays of horticulture.

“We’re honored to have such a discerning voice as Architectural Digest include us in this season’s ‘must see’ international travel recommendations,” says Mary Brinegar, president of the Dallas Arboretum.

Architectural Digest hails the 66-acre garden for its ferns and azaleas and having “one of the best views of the downtown skyline” throughout its 19 gardens.
