We won’t have fireworks in our neighborhood, but hop over to Fair Park to catch the biggest pyrotechnic showcase in Dallas at 9:37 p.m. The Cotton Bowl opens at 5 p.m. for viewing, and there is also a daylong festival when the Midway opens with rides, fair food and music. Get all the details here.

Shakespeare fans, near and far, head out to “Richard III” at Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre this Saturday, July 2 and Sunday July, 3 at 8:15 p.m. Guests are able to bring their own food, with vendors available as well. Tickets for the show are available on the website starting at $10.

On Saturday, July 2, the Bath House Cultural Center will be opening its new exhibit, “Non Pixelated: The Persistence of Painting in the Digital Age.” The exhibit will run until July 31. On Saturday, there will be a reception to welcome the exhibition, which explores art in the digital age. The event is free to the public and lasts from 7-9 p.m.

The Dallas Winds take over the Cool Thursday Concert Series at the Dallas Arboretum this Thursday, June 30. Enjoy the sweet sounds with a picnic on the lawn or from one of Dallas’ best food trucks. This is the perfect opportunity to get some relaxation in before the weekend’s festivities begin. Tickets are on sale starting at $27.
