The Exchange Club of Lake Highlands presented their final monthly awards for the school year Friday, recognizing four students for their outstanding work. Peyton Cabaniss and Brandon Kaylor were named Students of the Month and Christopher Polito and Lanie Jackson received Character Counts Awards.

Christopher is the son of Nicholas and Sunny Polito. He is a member of National Honor Society and is on the LHHS video production team. He sings in the Men’s Choir at LHHS and has performed in the school musicals. He plans to attend Emerson College in Boston and major in media studies.

Lanie Jackson is the daughter of Judy Craigo. Lanie is a dancer and will enroll at the Julliard School in New York City. She was unable to attend.

Peyton Cabaniss is ranked 4th in her class and is the daughter of Kevin and Carol Cabaniss. She is a member of the Highlandette drill team and president of the A Capppella choir. She is in National Honor Society and Girls Service League. She will attend Baylor to study business.

Brandon Kaylor is the son of Len and Patti Kaylor. He is an honor student competing on the football and wrestling teams. He served as a Dallas Mavericks ball boy and will major in business at the University of Arkansas.
