Clickit4life Foundation …

… was founded by Lake Highlands salon owner Terri Hoover whose son was killed in a car accident. The foundation, which survives through charitable donations, pays for billboards promoting seatbelt safety to be displayed around the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Here is Terri’s story.

The Wade Smith Foundation …

… before joining the NFL, Wade Smith played for Lake Highlands High School. Now his foundation helps fund sports participation for kids from underprivileged circumstances, such as the members of the Bobcats youth football team, about which we recently wrote.

Dallas Children’s Theater

… a neighborhood nonprofit dedicated to the theater arts. Just watch the above video.

Vickery Meadow Learning Center …

.. teaches English to students of all ages in the Vickery Meadow area, which is just outside our neighborhood and houses a huge population of people who have come to America from struggling and war-torn countries. They too made a video, which you can watch above.
