A proposed DART-Dallas deal could add hike/bike trails to Lake Highlands and the White Rock area — in fact it would add some 28 miles to Dallas’ trail system. According to the proposal discussed at a Dallas City Council briefing Wednesday, Dallas will give DART access to Madill Corridor, land that stretches from northwest Dallas through Las Colinas and Farmers Branch to downtown Carrollton. In exchange, the city gains access to DART easements to expand trails. The council will vote on it soon. Robert Wilonsky at the Morning News shares the rest of the details.
