Elliott’s Hardware is moving into the storefront between Chili’s and Salons by JC, says Radkey Jolink, director of marketing and communications at the leasing company, AmREIT.

The 14,593 square-foot space has been vacant for 15 years. It previously housed Parisian-Peyton’s Colberts, a women’s clothing store and one of the original tenants of the historic shopping center.

Elliott’s opened its first store in 1947 on Maple Avenue. Today, it has three locations in Dallas, Mesquite and Plano. Jolink says the store could open in Casa Linda by November.

As for what’s in store for the corner’s old Chevron station demolished last summer, nothing is confirmed just yet, he says, but soon. Very soon.
