‘Occupy, Texas,’ film crew in Lake Highlands, plans for caretaker’s cottage at Sunset Inn and more

news1Film crews are busy at work in and around Lake Highlands through Aug. 2 shooting Occupy, Texas, a “coming-of-age comedy for adults,” CultureMap reports.

Dallas Park and Recreation maintenance workers have been prohibited from working in the historic caretaker’s cottage behind White Rock Lake’s Sunset Inn due to the potential of exposure to asbestos and black mold. Robert Wilonsky of Dallas Morning News reports that Park and Recreation director Willis Winters says the city is working to remediate the black mold, secure the cottage, and stabilize the structure until an appropriate reuse for the cottage is identifed.
