Learn a new creative skill, hone a talent, join a like-minded group and watch live performances, programs and demonstrations from noon-4 p.m. on April 5. New to the fifth-annual free festival is a ticketed pre-party, ARTsPARK After Dark, 6:30-9:30 p.m. April 4. Free-$25.

The Lake Highlands Area Early Childhood PTA hosts the annual Decade of Design: LHAECPTA Home Tour fundraiser Friday from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., featuring four neighborhood homes. On Saturday night, from 7-10 p.m., party and bid on unique auction items at Park Tavern at the Shops at Park Lane. More than 200 families from the area will be selling gently used children’s items including clothing, toys, shoes, furniture, baby equipment, and more. Admission is free, and you can snag some pretty great deals on Saturday, when prices will be marked down even more. Unsold items will be donated to the RISD Clothes Closet, East Lake Animal Hospital, CPS of Dallas, Young Life Ministries, and Caring and Sharing at Highland Oaks Church of Christ.
