Support local business when you do your Valentine’s Day shopping this year. The home-based Prickly Poppy Bakery, started by Lake Highlands resident Erin Van Kirk, (you can read more about her in our December cover story here,) is taking orders for Valentine’s Day brownies. A gift-wrapped four pack, which includes turtle, fudge, cheesecake, and hazelnut brownies, is available for purchase here.

Nespresso sent D Magazine some renderings of Nespresso Boutique, which is scheduled to open in NorthPark Center this spring. You can check out the coffee shop’s espresso menu, as well as the renderings that showcase a sexy, modern interior, here.

Learn how to make fondue and score some free wine samples, too, during a fondue-making demonstration Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Park Lane Whole Foods.
