Folding-Cash-Money-150x150• Remember the water taxis that were going to shuttle us around the Trinity River park after the tollroad was built? Turns out they were such a good idea that Fort Worth wants to use them. Seriously. I’m not good enough to make this stuff up. The Star-Telegram (may be behind a pay wall) reports that city officials in Fort Worth want to make future development in their downtown more pedestrian friendly, and these ideas include “building pedestrian bridges and using water taxis to allow pedestrians to cross the Trinity River.” But I’m sure ours will be will cooler than theirs.

• Ask a banker, and they’ll tell you the best way to pay bills electronically is through your bank and not directly to your credit card company, utility and the like. That’s more than than self interest, as 39,000 Atmos Energy customers discovered yesterday.  They were charged 10 times the amount of their bill, thanks to a glitch utility’s automatic billing process. In a statement, Atmos apologized for the error and said it would reimburse any overdraft fees and reimburse customers for the overcharges.
