Once upon a time, Natalie’s was a tearoom, and traces of its former life are evident in the frilly art, pink tablecloths and decorative teapots at each table. But even though you can still order tearoom classics, such as chicken salad served with banana bread and cream cheese, the food has definitely evolved. The menu lists plenty of entrees from which to choose, but consider skipping right over them and asking about the daily specials. Regulars know to order the pecan-crusted chicken, one of Chef Juan Perez’ fortes. You can expect the same delectable dish each time you dine, with only the sauces differing from day to day – roasted red pepper, Portobello mushroom, sun dried tomato and mushroom, and so on. Natalie’s doesn’t serve wine, but feel free to bring your own – the waiters provide service free of charge. Other perks include complimentary dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls served with each meal, and 20 percent off all take-out orders – which translates to lamb osso bucco for $12.79.
