The Highlandettes of Lake Highlands High School traveled to Kilgore yesterday to attend opening night of Rangerette Revels, the annual spring show of the award-winning drill team. They were especially excited to support Rangerette sophomore Bethany Ford, a 2010 LHHS grad, dancing in the show. The popular former Dette director, Shannon Carlton, a former Rangerette captain herself, was on hand to cheer for Bethany and greet the girls, who were joined by many Highlandette alums. Carlton now leads the Highland Park Belles.

If you’d like to see the show, tickets to the 67th annual event are $20 available here online. This year’s theme is “Revels for Men,” honoring the influential males who’ve made contributions to the Rangerettes organization and the guys who’ve mattered in the lives of the girls. Revels continues nightly at 7pm through April 14th, with an additional 1pm matinee on the 14th.
