The community is planning to send the Lady Wildcats off to the regional volleyball tournament in style this weekend, as the team continues its playoff run. If you’d like to be part of the fun, bring your posters and pom-poms Friday morning as the girls make their way from the large gym to the bus about 8:50am. Joining the crowd will the cheerleaders, Highlandettes, marching band, Bell Boys, LH “rowdies” and faithful team parents.
Friday night’s match is against Austin Westlake, a perennial volleyball powerhouse. The winner of that game will play Saturday at noon. Both games will take place at Sam Houston State University’s Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum. Student tickets for $3 and adult tickets for $5 may be purchased at the door. Go Cats!
