The Forest Meadow Junior High PTA is revving up to host their annual fundraiser, Market in the Meadow. This 28th annual holiday gift sale brings merchants from all over the country to the FMJH campus Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16.

More than 4000 shoppers are expected and admission is free, but merchants pay a fee to set up 180 booths and sell their wares. Funds will be used for about 200 different classroom items, large and small, including everything from a digital metronome for budding musicians to a vocabulary-building game for students with special needs. They’ll also purchase science lab equipment, hands-on math projects for students staying after school, fresh brushes for art students and enough hand-sanitizer to kill an army of amoeba.

For many, the highlight of the weekend is the local entertainment in the school’s courtyard, where neighborhood talent and school groups perform.

With shopping and performances still a month away, Sponsor Chairman Wanda Campbell says it’s not too late for your business or family to contribute to the cause. Donors will be recognized in the FMJH Stampede newsletter, on the Market in the Meadow website and in the MIM show program distributed to all shoppers. For more information about how you can help, email Wanda here.
