Movin’ On Up

After 26 years of service, Lake Highlands resident and Wildcat soccer dad Lt. Ches Williams has been promoted to Deputy Chief of the Dallas Police Department. Williams’ promotion gives him command of the Southwest Patrol Division, headquartered in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. Joining him at his promotion ceremony was his wife Donna, daughter Hayley, daughter Glory, son Russell and daughter Alli.

District 10 Councilman Jerry Allen rode in the Lake Highlands Exchange Club Fourth of July Parade last month.

Girl Power

Senior Mary Margaret Johnson of Lake Highlands High School was the only girl to participate in the Pete Sessions Leadership and Growth Program with nine boys, including Michael Miller. The students were chosen for the one-week program to learn about the inner workings of the federal government and tour the capital city.
