Lake Highlands’ Launa’s Little Library, 9549 Spring Branch, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a Memorial Day parade Monday from 10 a.m.– 1 p.m. Kids, take your parents to White Rock elementary at 9:45 for the parade start, then stay for food, face painting, train rides, a bounce house, balloons, bike races and prizes beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The librarian, Arthiss Kliever—a.k.a. Mrs. K—is dedicating this year’s event to a longtime supporter, Gretchen Peterson, who died last March. Peterson’s sons Aaron and Jacob, members of Boy Scout Troop #890, will be members of the Color Guard and her daughter Madeline, a college sophomore, will be the Honorary Grand Marshall.
