It was an exciting game from the bleacher seats, but the final score was just 1-0 last night in the Wildcats’ win over Molina. The Cats managed just one run from nine hits, but their strong defense and precision pitching by senior Judson Luther gave them control of the game and the ultimate win.

Luther, who’ll play at the University of Alabama next year, gave up only 3 hits in seven innings, struck out 5, and needed only 74 pitches to secure the win. Senior Cameron Bodell had the only run of the night. Bodell led off the third inning with a single and went to second on a single by Byron Burns. With one out, junior Blake Woodson hit a hard ground ball up the middle. Bodell barely beat the throw from center as he touched home plate.
