It’s been great seeing LHHS head counselor Pam Mitchell back at school. She had a serious car accident recently and was out with broken ribs and an injured arm. She was in a multi-car pile-up in front of the Skillman Home Depot – the metal plate over that hole in the ground that’s been there way too long became dislodged and several cars hit it and then each other.

Pam is recovering nicely and attended a recent Eagle Scout ceremony and the Exchange Club scholarship presentation in support of her students. Pam is a longtime advocate for Lake Highlands kids, going the extra mile to help them get into the college of their choice and find the money to pay for it. She doesn’t even complain (much) when the students’ tendency to wait til the last minute causes a flurry of hurry-up, last minute faxes and phone calls to colleges to meet deadlines for applications and recommendations. She says she has appreciated everyone’s emails and well-wishes during her recovery.
