Just 15 1/2 inches away from setting an all-time annual rain record (or a record for the 109 years the weather service has been keeping track). And that doesn’t even include whatever we get today.

Can we set the record? It will be close. The average rain for September through December is 12 1/2 inches, which would would leave us short. However, that would give us more than 50 inches of rain for the year, just the fifth time that has happened since 1898.
