Is RISD teaching to the TAAS test as some politicians suggest? Apparently not, because our SAT, ACT and other national test scores are high also. Compare our percentage of seniors taking the SAT, the percentage of economically disadvantaged students and the average test scores to other districts on the chart below.

Only Carrollton-FB comes close to RISD, with the same percentage of economically disadvantaged and similar scores, but with only 62 percent taking the test.
