Many people like to enjoy a cold beer with seafood, but the chef at Seashells & Stuff has taken this old combo a step further.

The beer shrimp pasta was one of Seashells & Stuff’s original menu items when it opened 14 years ago, and it remains a fixture today.

“It used to be only on the lunch menu, but it was so popular we added it to the dinner menu,” says owner Yvette Lane.

BEER SHRIMP PASTA

Ingredients:

4 oz. beer

12 large shrimp

2 tsp. chopped onion

2 tsp. chopped chives

1 tbs. real butter

½ tbs. Italian dressing

½ tbs. Red Wine Vinegar

4 oz. heavy whipping cream

7 oz. linguini

2 tbs. dill weed

Grated Parmesan cheese

Cook linguini for approximately 7-8 minutes. Set aside.

Step 1: Saute shrimp, onions, chives, and beer in a shallow saucepan pan over a low heat until shrimp turns pink. Add butter.

Step 2: Add Italian dressing, red wine vinegar and dill weed. Saute.

Step 3: Add cream. Saute.

Step 4: Pour shrimp and sauce over linguini. Top with cheese.
