“I became an agent a year after I bought my first home,” Wesson says. “The experience was very interesting to me. I liked the concept of finding the right home for my clients. It’s a very challenging profession. The marketplace changes so rapidly.”

Wesson has been a member of the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce for eight years. During the past year, she was chairman of the Development/Strategic Planning Division of the Chamber, and next year she will be the First Vice Chairman on the board of directors.

Wesson also volunteers at Doctors Healthcare Center, a nursing home on White Rock Trail, and is a member of the Let’s Work Together neighborhood clean-up group for Lake Highlands, a cooperative effort among associates of real estate agencies, mortgage companies and title companies.

“I believe if you are taking from the community, you should give back to the community,” says Wesson, who works with RE/MAX About Town.

Volunteering enables me to sell the areas I sell. I know more about the community. I know what’s going on.”

Wesson moved to Lake Highlands in 1975 and has been selling homes east of Central Expressway since 1976. As a sales associate, she focuses on Lakewood, Lake Highlands, the “M” streets, Lower Greenville and the area surrounding White Rock Lake, she says.

“Some of the prettiest neighborhoods exist in East Dallas – with the trees, lakes, biking and jogging trails, and some of the best restaurants and architecture,” Wesson says.
