Feed Lake Highlands will host its third annual Bowling for Camp fundraiser May 30.
The event helps raise funds to support scholarships for Lake Highlands area campers to spend a week at either Kids Across America or Pine Cove Camp in the City.
At Kids Across America, campers go to Missouri and are empowered to become Christian leaders through camping skills and education. Pine Cove Camp is a closer-to-home experience in Dallas where campers have bible study sessions, worship and time with their counselors.
To help out, become a sponsor of a bowler.
A $100 donation provides food for one of the 80 camp counselors during their stay in Lake Highlands. A donation of $300 fully sponsors one of the 82 campers from the area.
Feed Lake Highlands is aiming to raise $20,000 to help area campers, according to the organization’s website.
