A three-alarm fire displaced several residents of a Vickery Meadow apartment near Greenville Monday at 5:27 a.m.
It took about 70 firefighters to extinguish the flames that engulfed the roof of Sunchase Apartments at 7229 Holly Hill Drive. Of the 16 units, eight experienced smoke, fire or water damage, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue. More than 70 residents were displaced. No injuries were reported.
The fire likely started in a second-floor apartment, Evans said, but the building was so damaged that the fire’s cause cannot be determined.
