The Lake Highlands High Wranglers have been making the school proud for a full 25 years with their intricate dance moves and fun-loving ways. The school team will host a fundraising celebration this Saturday from 8 p.m.-midnight at Eddie Deen’s Ranch. Get all the details here.

Abstract Artist Brett Dyer will have a reception at The Point at C.C. Young from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The art gallery will display Brett’s exhibit, “Spiritual Vessels,” through Jan. 26. The gallery is free and open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Exodus Financial Group is helping to explain the new tax laws to the neighborhood during the free Tax Reform Town Hall on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at 8330 LBJ Freeway. During the event, tax preparers will explain how the new law affects different income levels, and what to expect when it comes to other nuanced changes.

Dallas Pets Alive will be hosting a cat adoption event on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at Unleashed at 8180 Park Lane.

Dutch Art Gallery continues the show, “Do You See What I See?” In all, 48 artists contributed 85 pieces of work that feature a hidden object or meaning. Work ranges from photorealism to abstract. The work can be seen any time the gallery is open through Jan. 19.
