You always knew your mother had favorites, and the Lake Highlands Chamber of Commerce knows you have favorites, too. The Chamber is inviting you to nominate your selections for their 2nd annual Community & Business Awards.

The honors will be announced at a luncheon on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 at the KayCee Club at noon. Categories include Small Business of the Year (1-30 employees), Business of the Year (31+ employees), New Business of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year, Restaurant of the Year and Legacy Award for a person or group who has made lasting impact.

Recipients of the inaugural awards in 2017 were C & C Exteriors (Small Business of the Year), Lake Highlands Automotive (Business of the Year), Resident Taqueria (New Business of the Year), Healing Hands Ministries (Nonprofit of the Year) and Wayne and the late Dr. Betty Woodring (Legacy Award).
