DPD and LH PID officials are hosting Hope for the Holidays and collecting toys for needy LH families

Kids aged 2 to 92 will enjoy Saturday’s Hope for the Holidays Festival hosted by the Dallas Police Department’s Northeast Division and the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District. The free event will include In-N-Out burgers, face painting, a bounce house and a live DJ. The Dallas Fire Department will greet children and pose for pics with their ladder trucks, and toys will be distributed to families participating in the Feed Lake Highlands and Pamper Lake Highlands programs.

The festival will be held Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Skillman Crossing, 10061 Whitehurst. Toys for underprivileged families are still needed and may be dropped off this week at DPD’s northeast substation, 9915 E. Northwest Highway.
