Post by Kyle Klemme, Lake Highlands High School senior and Advocate intern

Lake Highlands came up short in a highly anticipated match-up between two very strong offenses. The Wildcats lost 59-35 with 21 of the 35 points coming in the second half it still wasn’t enough to top the Jesuit Rangers.

The Wildcats offense still looked strong totalling 542 yards of total offense, but four lost fumbles hurt the offense on some key drives. Jakson Thomson had 11 completions for 267 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was a 79-yard strike to Jonathan Barrows. Quinton Freeman also had another great game on the ground rushing for 187 yards and two touchdowns. As many know, it’s not easy to win a football game with five turnovers.
